Our Mission

The mission of the Scio Public Library is to provide materials and services to meet the community's need for information and recreational reading.

Emphasis is placed on offering --

• high-demand, high-interest materials to meet entertainment and recreational needs;
• reference materials and services that directly answer information needs or that provide direction to additional sources of information;
• materials and services that encourage an interest in reading in young children or supplement learning of elementary age and secondary-school students; and
• current and historical materials about the Scio area, and works by local authors.
